“A simple act of kindness can change the course of a lifetime.”

Peace Circle was founded in 1976. This is a women’s organization of the Hotchkiss Community United Methodist Church.  Among our many outreaches to the community, since 1982 we have sponsored the first thrift store in Hotchkiss. It’s known as the Wear House and is located in the lower level of Memorial Hall.

We are very thankful for the rewards that we receive from the Wear House sales and the annual Silent Auction, so that we may continue providing support for Peace Circle’s many local missions for children, organizations, and members of our community.

Peace Circle meets the second Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m., September-May, at Stewart Hall in the Hotchkiss Community United Methodist Church. All women of the community are welcome to join us.

Purpose – United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Our mission initiatives include: providing opportunities to grow spiritually, equipping women & girls to be leaders, providing transformative educational experiences, organizing for growth & flexibility, and working for justice through service & advocacy.

From its beginning, United Methodist Women has focused on ministries with women, children, and youth.

Monies are raised through fundraisers held throughout the year for their missions.

UMW has Fair Trade coffee, tea, and chocolate for sale. This is available in the church’s Stewart Hall.

UMW meets the 3rd Saturday at 9:00 a.m. except for June-August.
