  • Starting Wednesday, August 24th – September 28th 4-6:00pm – After School Ministry;  we will partner with a ministry called Tech-It-Up to offer a hands-on computer recycling, rebuilding, and programing course for elementary school children.  This is for students in the 1st through 5th grades. To register, go to www.techitup.us/registration. The registration fee is $50. The workshop is limited to 8 students.  The Orchard at HCUMC provides a safe, respectful, and enriching environment for elementary school children where they can get a healthy meal, make connections with peers and mentors, and experience the grace of God. At the end of the workshop, the students will be able to take their computers home.

  • The Orchard LEGO STEAM starts Oct. 19 — The next session of The Orchard after-school elementary student ministry begins Oct. 19. We will spend five weeks building with LEGO block. These will be drop-in sessions. Each week there will be time for free building as well as guided builds in LEGO robotics and STEAM projects. Watch your worship bulletin and these emails for more details.

It is a time of change, and change offers an opportunity for renewal. In the spirit of the season, we turn to the life-changing challenges the apostle Paul makes in letters to Philemon and Timothy. Paul challenges us to reboot and renew our lives in faith. We will spend this month considering the opportunity to RE:boot and rethink relationships, regret, prayer, and happiness.

Sept. 4 — RE:concile Relationships based on Philemon 1-12
Sept. 11 — RE:imagine Regret based on 1 Timothy 1:12-17
Sept. 18 — RE:frame Prayer based on 1 Timothy 2:1-17
Sept. 25 — RE:think Happiness based on 1 Timothy 6:6-9

Worship Live Stream — If you can’t join us in person for worship, you are invited to participate in worship through our live stream on our Facebook page. If you can’t join us live, a recording of the worship will be posted on the Facebook page for later viewing.
